About 100 miles west of Mandalay is Monywa.

The Monywa market was fairly large, and spread out over a few streets. While only two pictures of dried fish is shown, it was a very popular item.

Thanboddhay Paya, said to look something like Borobudur in Indonesia. This is the second example of Buddhist excess -- Lonely Planet says that there are 582,357 Buddha statues. I believe it. They also say it houses 7350 relics and other holy objects. I was most fascinated by the day glow paint.
